We would like to\ntake this opportunity to thank our residents. On top of the concerns we all\nhave regarding children, parents, and other loved ones, there are many economic\nissues emerging in regard to employment, savings, and debt levels,\netc. This is a time of high stress for all and we appreciate very much the\nrespect you have shown to us and our employees at a time when we have been\nunable to serve you as we would under normal circumstances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We write to you in\nthis unique era to firstly thank you for your patience and\ncooperation. Last Monday, we made the decision to send our employees home\nto work if they were able to do so. We also instituted a schedule for\nstaff to come into the office at specified times, in order to ensure that only\na minimal number of people were present at any one time. In addition, we\ndetermined what kind of emergency services we needed to continue to make\navailable for our residents and what types of repairs and maintenance would\nhave to be deferred to ensure the safety of both our residents and\nemployees. We are very proud to say that our employees have risen to the\noccasion and have offered to help in any way they can under these new and\ndifficult circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you have\nspecific employment concerns or have lost your job, we encourage you to\ninvestigate government websites for changes to employment insurance (EI), which\nhave been initiated in response to the crisis. If you find yourself without\nwork and ineligible for EI, please check out the government websites for funds\nthat have recently been created to deal specifically with your situation. Please proceed with payment of rent on\nApril 1, 2020, as you normally would. However, we are aware that some of our\nresidents may be experiencing unprecedented financial challenges. If this\napplies to you, we encourage you to write to us at rentpayment@globepm.ca<\/a>, with the subject line \u201cUNIT # - PROPERTY\nNAME \u2013 RENT\u201d (e.g. \u201c604 \u2013 Canterbury House \u2013 Rent\u201d). We will work with you on a\nsolution that suits your needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For our part, we\nwill continue to support our hardworking employees who provide you with the\nbest service in any way they can. We are determined to meet our obligations in\nthe community, including doing our part to keep our suppliers afloat so that\nthey can, in turn, keep their own staff employed.
